Japanese Green Tea Ceremony

The Japanese Tea Ceremony (chado or sado, "the way of tea) originated over 700 years ago and has transformed into a Japanese traditional ritual in which green tea is ceremonially prepaired and served.

Ikebana Exhibition (Shonan)

"Ikebana" which means  "arranged flower" or "Kado"  literally  "way of flowers" is the Japanese art of flower arrangement.   We visited the Shonan Community Center to have a look at some of the arrangements done by a few of the local Ikebana schools.

Ikebana Exhibition (Takashimaya)

Another Ikebana Exhibition held at a famous department store (Takashimaya) near Tokyo.  We had an opportunity to take a few pictures before the exhibition actually opened to the public as one of our very own staff had an arrangement on display.

Cherry Blossom Festival

In late March or early April (depending on which Prefecture), the Japanese eagerly await the blossoming of the cherry trees along with the warm spring weather.  When the blossoms finally bloom, people flock to places such as Kobayashi Bokujo in Inzai City, Japan.
