(Todaya) South Shinshu Sakura Tea is a salted pickled "Sekiyama Sakura" Cherry Blossom tea. Cherry blossoms are pickled in salt. When you pour hot water, the faint scent of cherry blossoms rises, perfect for hospitality. It can also be used for cooking such as cooked rice and chirashizushi toppings.
Celebrate the elegance of Japan’s cherry blossom season with Todaya’s South Shinshu Sakura Tea, crafted from carefully salted and pickled Sekiyama Sakura blossoms. When hot water is poured over the flowers, each blossom gently unfurls, releasing a delicate floral aroma and creating a beautiful, calming tea experience ideal for welcoming guests or marking special occasions.
Harvested only once a year in the southernmost region of Nagano Prefecture, the blossoms are picked at peak fragrance during the night bloom, then expertly preserved to retain their natural color, flavor, and aroma. The result is a refined tea that captures the fleeting beauty of sakura season in every cup.
Each pack contains approximately 7–10 blossoms, enough to serve 7–10 cups, made exclusively from 100% domestically grown Japanese cherry blossoms.
Beyond tea, these fragrant blossoms can also enhance a variety of dishes and drinks:
• Add to sake or white wine to create elegant Sakura Sake
• Use in soups with vegetables or tofu for a subtle floral accent
• Incorporate into sweets such as cookies, jellies, and jams
Perfect as a thoughtful gift or for celebrations, this blooming tea transforms any moment into a serene and luxurious experience.
