Naoshi is a type of sudachi. Grown as a gift from nature in Sukumo, Kochi Prefecture, its official name is "Takuma Sudachi" and it is loved locally as a vinegared mandarin orange.
Naoshichi is a rare fruit, even in Japan. The small, smooth-skinned fruit comes into season from September to October. It has a bright acidity, similar to lime, and a hint of bitterness.
